If you have settele your case outside of court that is great news and your legal council has done well to achieve that for you as going to court is always more costly.

Documents will still need to be added to the courts system as evidence of the matter being settled.
Always double check with your legal council.

Legal help gold coast - Why I need a lawyer?

                       

Representing yourself can be done in certain circumstances but there are some ground rules you need to lay down before you do.

You'll need to understand what kind of case you are doing. Is it under $20,000 or above.
Over $20,000 you will generally need a lawyer. Under $20k you can do in the small claims court.

Bear in mind it will take some time to prepare your case as well, no matter which way you do it.

Why I need a lawyer is predicated on the fact that if you have no knowledge of law and how it works, you are going to need to speak to one.

It is a big task to do your own legal work especially if you haven't done- it before.
